I thought that black and white picture T.V's came out first, then after a few years color T.V's came out.

The mechanical T.V's gave a poor picture created by a motor that rotated a metal disk to produce the picture. The screens were only about an inch wide, which must have made viewing a program difficult.

Electronic television uses a cathode ray tube to display picture and an electronic camera to to capture the image.
