The museum of glass located in St. Tacoma, Washington is an international center for art with special focus on glass. Numerous exhibitions are held throughout the year. There are special family days, hands-on art activities and live glassmaking demonstrations. One can enroll in the docent program, visit the museum café or buy a variety of glass products from the museum store.
The Harvard Museum of Natural History has a special gallery of glass flowers. There is a collection of over 3000 models of glass flowers created by different glass artisans. The National Heisey Glass Museum in Newark, Ohio houses over 4000 glassware products made by A.H.Heisey and company. The museum shop has many different products tumblers, paper weights, mugs and bells.
The Corning Museum of Glass, in Corning, New York offers a huge collection of historical and art glass. Exhibitions with different themes are hosted all the year round. They are as diverse as Roses in Glass to Czech glass, to Italian influence glass to curiosities of glass making. It boasts of a collection over 45000 exhibits tracing the entire history of glassmaking. Membership options and volunteer and employment opportunities are available.
