This is probably one of the best instant messaging programs out there. It can sign on simultaneously to AIM, Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, and IRC. For those of you who are advanced computer users and want an all-in-one instant messenger that is simple, light on system resources, and customizable, see the next post on this trail.

This instant messenger is very light on system resources, highly customizable, and compatible with ALL instant messaging and chat services. It is my favorite instant messaging program. However, I would recommend it to only intermediate to advanced computer users only. For those of you who aren't the best at computers, see my previous post on this trail.

Get this plugin by McAfee for your browser (compatible with both firefox and internet explorer) and never be fooled by sites again. It tells you everthing you need to know about a site- if it contains spyware, spams, links to other bad sites, phishing, etc.

Why pay an arm and a leg for microsoft office when you can get this for free? It can do just about everthing ms office can, and can even open and edit ms office documents. It also has a feature that ms office doesn't have- the ability to export a file as a PDF.

I feel this is one of the best free virus scanners I have tried. Use this in conjunction with zone alarm's firewall (see my next post in this trail) and you should be safe from almost all internet threats.
