The Prudent Attitude of Life, John’s Favorite There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under the sun. A time to give birth, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to uproot what is planted. A time to kill, and a time to heal; A time to tear down, and a time to build up. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance. A time to throw stones, and a time to gather them; A time to embrace, and a time to shun. A time to search, and a time to give up as lost; A time to keep, and a time to discard. A time to tear apart, and a time to sew together; A time to be silent, and a time to speak. A time to love, and a time to hate; A time for war, and a time for peace. It is my favorite verse from the Bible. I to live by these words. I use to laugh about the time for war part. I say that war is necessary and I never apply morals to necessity. Eventually, the exponential growth of humanity will exceed the food supply on this finite planet and ultimately lead to war anyway and anybody that cannot understand an occasional killing off of a generation for perpetuation of the race is a fool. The reasoning for it is irrelavent. What matters is only that it needs to happen at least once a generation. I always laugh and say the Chinese, with the largest population in the world, has laws in place for population control and that it is hilariously ironic that they make up half of the world's population and that we ought to just nuke China. It would extend life for many generations to come. Always the philosopher, ha KC.
