About this trail:
I've been reading a lot of Non-fiction books lately, so I thought I'd recommend a couple of my favorites for you to check out!
Pledged lets you go inside the world of Sororities. For someone like me, who would never even think of being a Sorority girl, it was a very interesting read! I've passed it on to a couple of my friends who are in sororities, and they really enjoyed it as well.

I got to read "Brothel" in my Sociology of Deviance class, and the author even came to visit. It was so fascinating! We always have ideas of what prostitutes are like, but actually getting to read about a year in a legal brothel will change your opinion on some things. There is some sexually explicit stuff in this book, so I wouldn't recommend it to young readers.

This book is fascinating! I've always been intrigued by attraction and beauty, and how society's views differ from the individual. This book has so much information and interesting facts, that I wanted to go through and highlight everything when I read it!

This is another book on beauty, specifically on how society uses it's ideal of beauty against woman who don't fit it at all. It's a dense read, but worth it.

I'll admit it... in High School, I was a bit of a punk, and I think that's why this book was so interesting to me. One of my friends introduced me to this book, Nation of Rebels, and it's really cool! It talks about how being a "rebel" became "cool", which means it's not really rebelling anymore. Plus, people are selling things specifically for rebels, which is taking away from the whole rebellion culture even further.

Humor is an interesting thing. What makes people laugh? Will the things I find funny be funny to you? This book looks at laughter and humor in a scientific approach, but sprinkles jokes through it as well. It's written by the guy who used to host Comedy Central's "Distraction", and it's pretty good!
