So you wanna be more fit for the New Year? It's simple: burn more calories than you take in. Having said that, here are some swell activities you can take part in to burn some. This is the easiest to use running guide for beginners. I am not an advanced runner, so you could imagine how useful I find this. The rest of the site is full of information. Don't like running or afraid of knee damage? Check out biking.

If running is not interesting enough for you, and you still plan on doing some aerobic exercise, check out biking. This site is more than helpful from gear to training. If you are more interested in mountain biking, check out MTBR

You may not want to be a body builder, but regardless this is a good start for aid in the nutrition department.

Ok, so maybe you do want to be a body builder. This site has the most information on specific lifting techniques and whatnot I have ever seen online. There are also plenty of animated .gifs of how to do a certain exercise. All of this should at least get you started in the right direction. Good luck!
