Quilt - The description and definition

Call it a bedding, a cover, a duvet or a nice warm cozy thick sandwich bed spread .. all points to the traditional "quilt". The name is derived from the process called quilting which is basically just tagging wool in between two layers of bedsheets or nice soft material to make it nicely thick and warm. Specially used in winters to keep one cozy, quilts have been used since long ago in history. They have been also used as decorations, for wall hangings and in artistic expressions. Globally quilts are available in various designs and patterns and fabrics depending on the region.
