Flawless communication is the key. If the woman says ABC and you are listening XYZ, then you are a problem, not she! Ever thought of that? With little practice these misunderstandings can be cleared. Miscommunication is what leads to most of marital problems.

What is your favorite listening technique? Mine is: I try to repeat in other words what the person just said so that it kind of gets imbibed in my brain. So in general I am a fan of repeat what you just heard and remember names and events.

Speech is silver, silence is golden. We have heard about this often times, haven't we? It makes a lot of sense. Yes, communication is of paramount importance but listening is equally important and it is not an easy task. Just hearing and listening are two different things.
