Hostels in Istanbul, with such intriguing names! I think I'll go for the very first one, as I loved Sindbad as a child. The user ratings are useful , I think.

This book is an amazing travel read , especially if you are going to visit Turkey. It does have a lot of history though, so if you are averse to the subject, ignore me please!

I liked this little piece by Viajera, as I plan to visit for 4 days too, now I know I cannot miss Topkapi Palace or Galata Tower for instance, so this is really useful!

Sorry, I am not very organised today!But incase you don't want package deals and are finding your own accomodation, you can book very cheap flights through Turkish airlines.
