This is a WebQuest I created for my ECI 541 class. I thought this would be a good starting point for students. Using the novel, The Things They Carried, I offer students the chance to further their perspective on the Vietnam War. Here, they can begin to view the war through a soldier's eye or perhaps a journalist's eye.
Using this WebQuest, I require students to relate to the soldiers during the war and make them understand what war is really like as compared to the movies and books out in the public. Also, with so much emphasis on the antiwar movement in schools, I would like students to focus on the war itself.
