Compliance with regulatory requirements has not been a cost-effective function for corporations. And hence, compliance solutions have now assumed a new level of significance. Moving away from expensive means of compliance management; companies have now resorted to more strategic ‘governance’. In combination with governance, compliance is sure to yield benefits for the business.

Regulatory compliance is something an organization works towards, in order to avoid penalties or negative repercussion. Governance, on the other hand, is resorted to, as a means of ensuring best practices in the organization alongside protecting critical information assets. In short, governance is a strategic method of incorporating compliance solutions in everyday practice, rather than considering it as a burdensome procedure. This move from compliance to governance is sure to prove beneficial.
