Many Muslims moved to Pakistan from India, and MIllions of HIndus and Sikhs moved to India during the partition of British India. During this period many disputes arose. Jammu and Kasmir's ruler had acceded to India followed by an invasion by the Pahtun warriors leading to the first Kashmir War.
