About this trail:
My family discovered this place a couple months ago so I can personally vouch for how amazingly good the food is here. The restaurant is always busy so get there early (5:30, or later, I'm guessing 9ish) if you want to attempt to avoid a wait. Most tables fit more than the average party so are shared and there is always mexican music playing from an old jutebox so you might need to lean in to hear your neighbor. The chips and guacamole are delicious and there is a self serve salsa bar. My favorite meal so far are the tacos filled with chicken but it is rumored that every single thing on the menu is good. Also, the walls of the restaurant are filled with beautiful black and white photographs of Mexico.

Ooba's was voted The Seattle Times Top Ten Spots award. While I have not actually eatin here yet, I now have it on my list of places to try after reading about it. Ooba's focuses on using fresh, healthy, carb-friendly Mexican food to cook dishes from all over Mexico. The restuarant was started by a husband and wife and there are currently two resturants in the area, one in Woodinville and another in Redmond, and a third is soon to be opened in Bellevue. Gorditos Healthy Mexican Food is in the heart of the Greenwood neighborhood in Seattle. I have eatin there many a time and find the burritos delicious and HUGE, and will personally reccomend it. The restaurant has a funky atmosphere and I'd recommend going during the summer months and sitting outside in the back in the sun. The burritos are giant (and good), as everyone will tell you, and will last you two meals, if not more so they are well worth it.

My family has been coming here for years and I would call this the ultimate "real" mexican food in Seattle. The restaurant is a busy place so get there early or call for reservations (a new perk). The restaurant is located on the waterfront with a beautiful view of the Seattle skyline and below the restaurant sea kayaks are available for hourly rental. The prices are reasonable and the food is marvelous; makes you feel like your actually in Mexico ordering the real deal.
