It's hard to imagine a volunteer experience more fulfilling than workingat an orphanage in Ghana. The basics are usually taken care of for the children,like their meals and a place to stay. But, with limited local staff available,there is only so much love and caring available for the children. That's why thechildren so eagerly await the arrival of volunteers, who can give the kids moreattention and love.

Our HIV/AIDS volunteers work with local organizations who are providing
HIV/AIDS education and support programs in local communities in Kenya.

We have a variety of Medical placements available in Ghana. You can workin a hospital, clinic or teaching hospital, in any one of a number ofdepartments. If you plan on specializing, we can arrange to place you in arelevant department, to give you maximum experience in your chosen field. Ifyour interest is nursing, we have a number of institutions who would appreciate
your help.

Volunteers in this program teach English to local children in eitherprivate, government, or mission schools. Although English is the official
language of Ghana, the children rarely get to learn from non-Ghanaian speakersof the language. Volunteers do NOT have to be native speakers of English.

Volunteers teach at government primary schools in the heart of Nairobi.
The students range in age from 4 to 10. You can help them with conversational
English, basic math, arts & crafts, board games, playground games, sports like
soccer and running, music, and any other talents you wish to share.

Ghana?s interest in football is at an all-time high, especially with
Ghana?s outstanding World Cup performance in 2006 which included a win against
the US.

Teach at a primary school in a remote African village in Kenya's ancient
Rify Valley.
