About this trail:
This website would be useful for both Algebra students and Algebra teachers. Students would find the examples and solvers very useful. Teachers might find it useful to use these tools in an attempt to provide variety and/or motivation to whole-class discussions. Teachers are also provided with several lesson plans for each topic addressed on the site.

Algebra.help offers a wider variety of concepts than the previous site. I think that this would be most beneficial for students to use at home in lieu of a hand-written homework assignment, extra credit to practice skills studied in class, or as a preparation tool for chapter tests or even End-of-Course tests. I especially like the "step-by-step" component of the practice. Plus, the News section is pretty interesting. Teachers could pull a daily or weekly fact off of this site to share with students.

Purplemath's Algebra page is fairly easy to use, and it provides explanations on a range of mathematical topics. These topics are clearly labeled and organized, which makes the locating process very user-friendly. My favorite part of the site is the section on solving word problems. A lot of students are weak in this area, so this site provides an alternative method of addressing students' weaknesses. I also like the "why?" component. Now, when a student asks, you, as a teacher, can say: "Look on Purplemath and tell me why."

This site would be especially helpful in an Algebra II course. Unlike others, it provides some very nice examples on upper-level topics, such as conic sections, complex numbers, and logarithms. The explanations are clear and fairly concise, so students should be able to use this site without much direction or assistance.

This website is applicable for courses ranging from Algebra I through Calculus! My favorite component of the site is the Tables section. A spectrum of resources is offered in this section starting with basic multiplication tables to basic integrals and derivatives.

This site would be most beneficial for teachers. The Worksheet Generator tool can provide teachers with an alternative device for constructing classroom resources.  I also like the Unit Quiz option. It is important that students be provided with external practice opportunities that can be accessed pretty much anywhere.

7
Math League's homepage provides teachers with an excellent resource for locating math contests in their areas. The contests begin with 4th and 5th grade and continue to the secondary grade levels.
8
This Problem Generator is free and very user-friendly! Teachers can access it directly without creating an account and choose to add various basic math, algebra, or geometry questions to their worksheets, quizzes, or tests.

Beehive's homework help site can be used from kindergarten through 12th grade. It is rare to find a quality site that is applicable to all grade levels. The Parent section would be useful if particular students are having a difficult time completing homework assignments. I also appreciate the additional information provided on the left about special areas of interest for parents.

This site would be a very helpful tool for students to use at home to assist with homework assignments and to study for tests. I especially like the fact that students can ask for examples for particular types of problems. This would be a great resource for parents who are trying to re-learn algebraic topics from their school days.

This site offers a list of resources for locating a tutor that are available online. Some of the tutors can be accessed for free, but most of them require a monetary donation.
