Our site seems like it might need a bit of both since a) our learners are still trying to get used to the 'old web' b) we need to get some info out that only we have control over = info that shouldn't be added to or edited by people other than us.
I wondering if the trick isn't in trying to find some way to bridge the seemingly insurmountable chasm between web 1.0 and web 2.0 to allow for some chaos and some linearity without either stepping on the other's toes as it were. :)
