Like Spider-Man 3 the movie, the game has received "mixed or average" reviews according to Metacritic where it has a 67 average score. However, Game Rankings shows that the game has a 72% average score with over 38% of reviews giving the game a score of 80% or higher [2]. The reviews have largely criticized the similarities between Spider-Man 3 and its predecessor as well as the length of the game, in which the story lasts only 3-5 hours. The Wii/PS2 version has suffered major critisism, mainly due to it's major graphics issues, even to it's predecessors on the Gamecube and PS2.
