Trailfire Guide Widget

If you have a blog or web site and want to use the Trailfire Guide to keep tract of what is happening on the web just drop one of our widgets into your page. It will automatically scour the web for related information and update it everytime someone looks at it.

Currently (sorry but we are still in alpha) the widget only returns links to pages based on your search terms but that is just a placeholder. Expect soon to get pages realted to any URL, pages like the one on which you place the widget, and pages you have recently browsed. With these the Guide Widget either helps you as a research asistant or lets you keep your friends up to date on what you have been reading on the web.

The Widget is just a list of links at present but expect it soon to take on a slick graphical look like something you'd see on YouTube or from Apple. We’ve got some cool wizzy stuff in the works.

Javascript Widget

Use this Widget if your blog allows Javascript widgets. Change the parameters in the text below to change the behavior of your widget. Replace “SEARCHTERM” with terms or tags that you want the widget to search for. The “guide_background” should be replaced with whatever color you want as a background to the widget and “guide_links” is not used just yet.

Iframe Widget

Use this widget if your blogs only allows iframe widgets. Change the parameters in the text below to change the behavior of your widget. Replace “SEARCHTERM” with terms or tags that you want the widget to search for. Where it has “bg=ffffff” you should replace ffffff with whatever color you want as your widget background. “links=0000ff” is not used.
