Please read through the first three paragraphs on this page that explain the activities you will complete on this page. Make sure you click on the word "data" for a definition. Please add this vocabulary word and definition to your math journal.

Find a partner and together read through the information about collecting data. Make sure you read through the tally chart. With your partner, vote for your favorite pet and discuss how it would change the results in the chart. Make a new tally chart in your math journal.

Read the information. Ask yourself how likely you will flip heads or tails. Predict whether or not you will flip more heads or tails. Then begin the coin flip experiment. Don't forget to click the submit data button when finished. Then raise your hand and I will come to see your results.

Complete the probability warm-up and record your results in the tally worksheet I have given you. Then together the whole class will complete the penny toss table.  Remember, each student only has one penny toss for this experiment. Also, don't forget to record the total number of heads and tails on each worksheet.
