Follow this trail to understand what an ecological emergency deforestation is.   While we all understand that deforestation is a strain on our environment. Even I can attest that I wasn't quite sure why. I knew that it caused a strain on the ecosystems that exist in the tropical regions, forcing the possible extinction of millions of species.  The fact that there was something beyond that point fascinated me.
