Virtual worlds, all culture is 'virtual,' we all live in created worlds; good discussion about accepting our subjects' self-assessment, when and how that's legitimate (because the author did not track down his SL subjects in RL).

The point being that such miscommunication is treated as a cultural problem when it is really a problem of unequal power relations.
