Why is it so difficult for any scholar, journalist, author or Poe devotee to write a complete biography on Edgar Allan Poe?
There exists a "...great deal of information, but very few verifiable facts..." about Poe. Since Poe's birth certificate does not appear to exist, one may speculate that it is accurate to say he was born in 1809 in the city of Boston.
What other city has tried to claim rights to his birth?
