Making this trail, I started to wonder what exactly an Ohio Buckeye was. Here's the answer: a tree. Buckeyes are trees native to temperate areas in North America, Europe and eastern Asia. They are classified in the genus, which is one of two genera in the family Hippocastanaceae.
