The concept Zap X... sounds too good to be true. It even has room for the dog.

Ok I finally got a big green egg. Here is a trail with my comparison shopping... I like the looks of the primo oval grills, but, they aren't as readily available in the Seattle area.
The results? So far everything I've tried has turned out great, even though i'm still figuring out how to control the heat... cooking on the egg is very *forgiving*. The biggest problem I've had is getting it the egg to fire up quickly/reliebly and figuring out how to control the temperature. I think its time to look into the electric starter

Notes for planning a trip to thailand. Highlights from past trips: Chiang Mai - nice sized city with lots of temples, easy to get around by walking or Tuk Tuk. Bangkok - crazy/big/frenetic traffic but you must stay for a night or two. Don't miss the Emerald palace. Koh Samuii - it sounds like its been quite developed since I visited. But on the plus side, it is easier to get to with its own airport. Krabi/Railay beach: beautiful limestone cliffs/white sand beaches... Phuket: it was overdeveloped back in the 90's.
