This has always been my favorite-- easy, broad access to news from around the world. I think the best part is being able to read a number of angles on the same news. Another bonus? No subscription or membership requirements, and the search option is great.

Ah, BBC you are well-formatted, have a great Science/Nature section, always include such awesome photos and are, of course, British, which just makes it so much better.

Because all I read is that Western world gibberish and sometimes we all need something a little bigger. New angles, new objectives, new people, oh it's fantastic.

The New York Times is my darling-- I love the video headlines, the art section, the fancy title and the solid international news-- but it still requires registration to hunt through the archives. What is with that? PS Check out the selections on the left side. World. US. New York. That's got to say something, mustn't it?

Admittedly, I am a West Coaster, and don't read nearly as much of the Post as I would like... but still, another quality news source that demands registration. Sorry. A peeve.
