As we move into the semester, many of us who are using Youth Voices are also using Diigo with our students.

We invited Maggie Tsai, one of the co-founders of Diigo, back to Teachers Teaching Teachers to talk about how new features in Diigo 4.0 will help us build connections between students through social bookmarking. Come learn with us!

Welcome to this week's EdTechTalk (ETT) newsletter! This week we enjoyed the third LAN party of the k12Online2009 Conference. Kevin Jarrett & Sylvia Martinez talked about their K-20 Educators Exploring Virtual Worlds  after we viewed the presentation at edtechtalk. They interacted with people in the chatroom while giving us an update on their projects since the 2007 conference.

Colleen, explained how she came to be a programmer, sheer will and determination in order to share math concepts and games with students and teachers.Colleen is a do it yourselfer. She taught herself how to program, how to make math available. She had a dream and her dream is coming true, not just for her, but for all the teachers and students she is connecting with. Check out our podcast. We will be inviting her back.

Tonight's session was the first in a series of brainstorms about a special project that would creating digital parent courses. Show hosts Matt Montagne and Lorna Costantini welcomed Justin Reeve, Colleen McGuire,  Penny Lindballe to the show.

Jeff Utecht and wife Daneah share their students from International School Bangkok with us for an evening of inspiration and hope as their students relate their experiences with a very special project: Operation Smile. Daneah and two of the students have created videos to capture the visit the students had with young patients who experienced facial reconstructive surgery in Thailand.
