Plane is currently based at Toledo (TDO), A GPS approach is coming this Summer/Fall, 4500 x 150 runway. Fuel on the field. I will consider a different airport, but the hanger at Toledo will be hard to beat.

This plane has killer avionics, GNS430, KT76C (digital), KX155, Sandel 3308 EHSI, KNS80, ADF, 4pl intercom and autopilot. Also a WX1000 Storm Scope, Engine analyzer and a digital fuel flow meter. It is a gem to fly approaches with.

There is about 325hrs right now on the engine, since it’s Overhaul. The detailed 2008 annual had no significant issues, engine compressions all in the 70's. Probably one of the smoothest 210's out there. All AD’s current. Complete log books from day one.

Just for comparison, a 172 and the 210, 400nm trip, the 210 will do it in 2.5hrs, 40 gals, the 172, 3.5hrs, 28 gals, @4.50 gal, 210/$180, 172/$125. This is based on two people, no baggage, 5000ft. the 172 costs more with 3 people, the 210 unchanged. If your trip is 500nm, the 210 shines, because the 172 would need to stop and refuel, and probably unload bladders. Going east, you need to climb to 8 to 10 Thousand, 12 min’s in the 210 at 120kts, 25 min with a 172 at 75kts.

So, local flying, 172 is cheaper, but cross country the 210 shines, and is allot more comfortable (wider cabin, more leg room, warmer), for about 30% more in cost over a 172. This is based at 5000 feet, at 9000 ft, the 172/210 end up being within 10%. 182 is actually pretty close to the 210, because the 230hp uses just 15%less fuel, and is 20kts slower.

OK, the nitty gritty. I am not desperately seeking a partner. I just figure why not share this gem with the right person. I am seeking $20K for a buy in. (you would own 25% of the plane title) I can deed it as a partnership, corporation, or LLC, doesn't matter to me. I have already paid the use tax, so there isn't a tax advantage going corporate now. I also don’t have to change the Title, your choice.

Costs.. T-hanger $65 mo, Figure the annual for about $1500 (pro rated for 2008), "I" do the owner assist route (you can help or not). Insurance will vary with your currency and times. (about $1k yr). You should plan on $150 mo for flying (or not), which covers ½ of the hanger & Insurance. Cost for each hour is the fuel (currently about $70hr), and a engine reserve $20hr. Funds will be kept in a joint account, at the local bank.

You should have 125 hrs min. preferably in a Cessna, with some complex time (RG/Prop). Insurance will require 2 to 6 hours dual depending on your log book. No dual if you are current in a 210. Do not plan on going from a Cessna 150 to the 210 with less than 10 hours dual instruction. It will probably be closer to 15hrs. (dual). I have over 1000hrs, IFR rating, Private Pilot. I am not an instructor nor can I fly for hire.

Please only serious pilots. This plane is best suited for trips over 300nm or heavy payload flying (4 Adults). It will carry 4 adults, with baggage, non-stop to SFO area, in 3.25 hrs! How about Ketchikan, yes Alaska, non-stop in 4 hours!

A touch of personal history with this airplane:
I started flying lessons in the 80's, and had accrued a few hours of instruction when I saw this Musketeer for sale at the Troutdale airport. I thought it looked so cool (and still do) and loved that it felt so solid (like an airliner) after having flown Cessna's which felt rickety in comparison. A mechanic told me that the struts and landing gear were over-built for safety and the plane is rated in the Utility Catagory (can pull 4.4 Gs although I never went above 2 G). Anyway, I bought it, finished my training in it and had my private pilot's license 7 weeks later! I spent the next two years flying a couple times a week and took it to the Bay area a couple times, often to the Oregon Coast and several times to the San Juan Islands. I enjoyed taking so many of my friends for flights around the local area and always marveled at flying around Mt. St. Helens and up the Columbia Gorge. I loved night flying over Portland and landing l on the same runways as the big guys. As time went on I was flying less as my career demanded more time, so I started a co-ownership and sold a share to Gerry Rodgers). He also loved the plane but after a couple years also was flying less. So we sold another share to Dave Taylor who had recently retired and had never flown. He learned to fly in the plane and went on to become a pilot for the local (search and rescue) Civil Air Patrol, flying their high performance planes. However, Dave recently lost his airman's medical. So he, Gerry and I got together reluctantly decided that it is time to let go.
Anyway, we are looking to find someone who will enjoy flying this bird (as much as we have) for many years to come. Might be you?
