In short, make eye contact, echo what the person is saying to you back to them, and nod in understanding.

9. End a conversation with body language.
When that chatty co-worker just won't go away, use some of manager Brendan Connelley's techniques. My favorite is simply standing up (or crossing your arms, or speeding up to a "fast walk" to indicate it's time for that person to go and you're busy. Ask sensitive questions indirectly to skip awkwardness.
When the info you need from someone is somewhat sensitive, check out journalist advice site MBToolbox's suggestions for asking delicate questions indirectly. Use the bluff ("the breakup must've been hard, huh,") or blame others ("so has anyone asked about your prison time?") or the indirect inquiry ("what year did you get divorced?") to broach sensitive topics with tight-lipped folks with more ease and less awkward silence.
7. Use silence to win arguments and nail a negotiation.
Lawyers and price hagglers know that a little silence can go a long way. When the other party offers a price, opt for a long pause to indicate hesitation, which might prompt them to go lower. In the case of arguments, stubborn, utter silence may frustrate the other person—but it'll also make you look a little bit more like the winner. (Even though it's evil.)

6. Soften critiques with the sandwich method.
When you need to critique someone—whether it's a co-worker's presentation or a spouse's choice of outfit—start with a compliment, then mention your critique, then end on a positive note. The "criticism hamburger" gets the message across but softens the blow.
5. Say "no" gently—or say "yes, but...."
When someone's asking you to do something you just don't want to—or don't have the time—there are ways to say "no" that are polite and respectful and won't burn any bridges. I have no idea and I don't care. /I
just wanted to watch the show.I gotta run/ who knows？lying media.you know
what? I really need to finish this by...
：so what? what's the big deal? relax, (Shit happens).

a. 对方用的是media report,你就说: i am not sure if I believed
the report（the media crap）. they are just jealous/media just wanted people
's attention/they also said Irap had WOMD.
b. 就说someone said
Phelps takes dope, do you believe so? I do not think so. you know what I
mean?
c. 说：so a 13 year-old-Chinese beat a 16-year-old
american. big deal. well, so she is youger, but still a winner, right?
limit is stupid. I heard a swimmer who is 44. from what i saw, the young
girls handled the pressure well.

Wi-Fi: Get Free Airport Wi-Fi with a Simple URL Hack

I found that I could easily visit sites like slashdot, Google, or even this weblog, when adding a ?.jpg at the end of the url. Play dumb. Put on a bewildered expression, act as if you don't understand the joke, and ask your co-worker to explain it to you. He will not be able to explain why the joke is funny without evoking a racist stereotype. You can then question the veracity of this stereotype, thus pointing out the racism of the joke, without being confrontational and without humiliating your co-worker. Racist jokes rely on an unspoken, shared knowledge of racist stereotypes. Without the stereotypes, there is no humor.

Real, Actual New Car Prices Paid by Car Buyers | Real Car Tips

Most New Car Buyers Just Want a Fair Deal...
But the fact remains - auto shoppers usually don't know whether they're getting a good deal or not, and this can be very frustrating.

DOLCE & GABANA

LOUIS VUITTON

HUGO BOSS

BROOKS BROTHERS

Zegna

Mon, 未名空间(mitbbs.com)

(Sun Apr 12 19:04:07 2009)

bill patient， patient 不付，7个月后再把帐单卖给collection agency When we catch students bullying other students, the most we can do
is to give them warning and detention. These measures are not effective
means to stop bullying. Sadly, the Chinese kids rarely step up for
themselves and they rarely look out for each other's back. I had once taught
a group of Chinese kids to stand together to face the bullying white kids,
the power created through the cohesiveness scares the white kids, and they
didn't dare to be bullies any more.

So, I will teach my kids to be brave to step up for himself as well as for
other Chinese kids, if every Chinese kids are willing to stand up and look
for each other, they will not be bullied any more at school.
