"Straight to Hell" is Hank's fourth disc and defines his style. As far as I can tell (I'm no Country Music fan) he is completely unique. He spits in the face of commercial country (listen to "Dick in Dixie") and yet has his roots in the music of his grandfather.

Read the reviews. But I disagree with those who don't like the second disc. If it is a hillbilly acid trip it is probably as close as I'll get to acid and so it will have to do.

I gotta see this guy. He divides his sets into country, metal, and punk. Who could ask for more? Here's an interview he did for Rhino Records where he talks about his new album and concert style.

Wait here a sec while the site redirects you to the samples page, it will be worth it. OK so now you are ready for some of his music. Try "Country Heroes" and "Low Down" to start. But I warn you, if you listened to the interview you'll be surprised. When you are done and are ready for some pop check out my Rakes trail.
