This wouldn't be so bad if there were any kind of transparency provisions to allow end users to see what they are paying for. As it is we have to look hard to know the quality of service we are getting.

Most people worry about the duopoly companies charging the end user for access to sites on the internet but I think this model is much more likely to develop. The duoplolies (telco&cable) will find ways to charge sites (Google) for access to their customers. This model is bad because it makes a lie of the bandwidth claims from duoplolies and yet is virtually invisible to the consumer.
