I have no problem using Gedit and Nautilus to browse my linux machine, why can't I use TextEdit and Finder on the Mac to look at system files and raw unix text files?

Parallels allows you to run Windows or Linux in a virtual machine ind=side of OS X. Vista doesn't work yet but read on to find out more.

This is an excellent article about how a few popular "Diggers" really control what happens on Digg. They are often benevolent and somewhat unaware of their power. The knobs at Digg are set to atenuate this effect with unforseen consequences. Digg better react or face customers moving to new communities.

We can use this for rating control.  How about when a user rates showing all segments of the control as blank then animating them filling with orange maybe expanding each as it is filled then shrinking down before the next is filled then highlighting the changed rating number then fading it back to normal.
