The following two commands will set up password-less authentication from your
computer to mycomputer.mycompany.com:
$ ssh-keygen -b 1024 -t rsa -f /home/username/.ssh/id_rsa
(do not enter a pass-phrase - leave it blank)

My personal favorite flavor. Debian at its heart, with a strong GUI, regular updates, and an incredible update network. Recently they began supporting a server as well as the usual workstation/desktop version. I run it on a laptop quite nicely and on my video server.
