This powerful tool has countless applications. You can use it to fill in forms that stretch across multiple pages, to automatically log into a site and perform specific activities, or even to extract data from a site and save it as a CSV file. It's particularly useful for web developers looking to test the performance and functionality of their sites. Macros can be edited, controlled with JavaScript and combined with other extensions.
Social Scripting Example Page Shared iMacros scripts on del.icio.us -
Right-click any imacro to add a reference to your local bookmarks or embed the complete imacro in a link. Use this link to share your scripts by email or post them on your blog, website or any social bookmarking service.

Just like your VCR - for Firefox. It records what you do, stores it, and plays it back on demand.

Navigation recorder, and playback tool.

This records the user action on the page, form fills, etc, and can save the recording to a file, replay it back for you on demand.

Combined with translators, which can convert this recording to automated command line test tools, you can generate HTTPUnit, PHP-SimpleTest scripts.

Visit my home page for more details.

  • Firefox Firefox: 1.5 – 2.0.0.*

You can script everything from the currently viewed page just like Greasemonkey. You can autorun bookmarklets and perform safe operations on the currently viewed resource.

If you have ever needed an easy, powerful and safe way to extend web resources that you visit in a cross-browser manner, Technika is probably the right solution for you. It integrates with Firebug and provides a great environment for developing bookmarklets.

Platypus is a Firefox extension which lets you modify a Web page from your browser -- "What You See Is What You Get" -- and then save those changes as a Greasemonkey script so that they'll be repeated the next time you visit the page.

The latest version of Platypus is always available from platypus.mozdev.org. I keep this version updated as time permits.

If you have problems, submit them via Bugzilla, or send me an email directly. I don't monitor the comments on this page.

Please read the Platypus help page (or hit the '?' key after starting Platypus) if you are confused about what Platypus does or how it works. Thanks.

Works with:
  • Firefox Firefox: 1.0 – 2.0.0.*

This version adds a more controllable method for overriding add-on compatibility. Instead of needing to use the indiscriminate built in application settings I recommend switching to using Nightly Tester Tools to give you the choice which add-ons you override the compatibility for.
* Extension compatibility fixing
* Titlebar customisation
* Build ID retrieval
* Screenshots
* Breakpad information
* Restoring tabs from previous session
* Leak log analysis

DOM Inspector 2.0.0

by Shawn Wilsher (sdwilsh)

DOM Inspector is a tool that can be used to inspect and edit the live DOM of any web document or XUL application. The DOM hierarchy can be navigated using a two-paned window that allows for a variety of different views on the document and all nodes within.

Note: This add-on depends on binary changes to Firefox, and will not work with Firefox 2.
