Described as channel surfing for the Internet, StumbleUpon allows registered users to randomly hit pages identified in areas of interest. Users may also tag pages of interest and browse sites other users have tagged.

Trailfire allows registered users to mark ages, comment on the pages, and subsequently link pages together to form trails. Trail URLs may then be shared by posting to a blog, web page or via email.
