This is still in the development phase... once there's a little more content we'll make the transition final and the kvha.org address will forward to this page.

This website is just barely up and running.  My intention is for it to be a way for partners and stakeholders to have tighter sense of cohesion....or something like that...a way to see the bigger picture.  There is a sister wordpress site that hones in on specific sub-watershed work.

This has a different audience base than the wakarusawatersheds.org page.

Catfishin' the Kaw - A river is a mighty force...

As mentioned here and there, the Kaw Valley Heritage Alliance is a non-profit dedicated to the conservation and protection of natural and cultural resources in the Kansas (Kaw) River Valley.  (I think I can type that in my sleep these days...)  At any rate, we've mostly survived on grant money through various government agencies.  However, we've gone fishing for funds without so many strings attached.  This little storefront is a collection of products from bigger merchants who give nickel and dime kickbacks on each sale.  We pick what's on the list - pretty much anything you can find on Amazon we can route through the store.  You place an order & Zilo (the folks who actually handle the transactions) makes sure you get what you paid for.  Then, a deposit appears in our bank account.  I know it's hooky but it's an easy way for you to give us a little support.  -Alison
