This ran on the front page! That weekend the Raven Bookstore sold out of copies of Catfish Cookies.  (Don't worry, we took them more....)

Catfishin' the Kaw - A river is a mighty force...

As mentioned here and there, the Kaw Valley Heritage Alliance is a non-profit dedicated to the conservation and protection of natural and cultural resources in the Kansas (Kaw) River Valley.  (I think I can type that in my sleep these days...)  At any rate, we've mostly survived on grant money through various government agencies.  However, we've gone fishing for funds without so many strings attached.  This little storefront is a collection of products from bigger merchants who give nickel and dime kickbacks on each sale.  We pick what's on the list - pretty much anything you can find on Amazon we can route through the store.  You place an order & Zilo (the folks who actually handle the transactions) makes sure you get what you paid for.  Then, a deposit appears in our bank account.  I know it's hooky but it's an easy way for you to give us a little support.  -Alison

Wow!  We couldn't believe it when we saw the news blip at the bottom....  Wouldn't it be wild if toll house sold chocolate chip catfish cookies??

This gentleman was featured in the KVHA newsletter not too long ago.  Alphield and Jason had a wonderful time visiting him.
