I'm not sure if how the teacher acts the first time they make a public mistake, will be how the act EVERYTIME they make a public error.

I had always thought it was fishy when I teacher made a mistake and then went on to say that he did that on purpose, to see if everyone was paying attention. I've had some teachers that would say this and be serious about it. However, some teachers would say it as a joke, kinda pointing out their mistake and letting the students know that it is alright to make mistakes, everyone does it, even teachers. The teachers that don't point out their mistakes are displaying to their students that they aren't to make mistakes...And this is the wrong message to send to students.
